Hi Penny,

After our second visit to one of your local topical pub quizzes I thought I should email and congratulate you on the format. As someone who works in archaeology (Exeter University) it was fantastic to see members of the public engaging with artefacts from the near and distant past. Local history is important to all and the quiz is an excellent way of bringing it to those who may not ordinarily choose to engage in it. I hope that this initiative carries on.

Yours,

Dear Penny,

Thank you for an excellent evening on our return visit to the pub quiz. It is evident that the pub quiz initiative is entirely successful and will hopefully be continued. As an archaeologist, I found it greatly rewarding to see members of the public displaying such obvious interest in local history.

Best wishes,
