Children from the SPLASH playscheme got together with Exeter City Council dignitaries on 30 October 2008 to bury a time capsule in Exwick. About 40 people attended the event, which took place in the new Garden of Remebrance. Kelly James-Cawte, Assistant Bereavement Services & Cemeteries Manager for Exeter City Council says:

It was great for Bereavement Services to be able to link in with the Council's Living Here.... West of the Exe initiative, RAMM (Royal Albert Memorial Museum) and the SPLASH play scheme. We would like to thank all those children and staff for the creation of the time capsule that was buried within the new Garden of Remembrance at the Exwick Cemetery.

It was nice to see so many children attend the official opening and hopefully those children will be able to attend the opening of the time capsule in 50 years time, along with their children and perhaps even grandchildren.
