Dareen, the Official Rough Collie Breed Archivist for the whole of the UK, has developed an informative and fascinating webpage about the Alphington Rough Collies.
Not only does the website give the history of the Alphington Rough Collies but also displays some wonderful old photographs that the Newbery family of Alphington have very kindly allowed both Dareen and myself to scan and show.
The ALPHINGTON kennel name is considered so important that the combined Rough Collie Breed Club, through the auspices of the Rough Collie Breed Council, protect this word therefore, ensuring that no one can now use it in naming a dog with the Kennel Club.
