A lovely old photograph of the Post Office in Church Road. As a child during the war and the post war period, I remember the tiny shop as a Newsagents run by Mr and Mrs Cox. It was here that I spent my pocket money on 'The Boys Own Paper', 'Meccano Magazine' and comics. The Post Office at that time was in Cross View run by Mr and Mrs Budd, although mainly by Mrs Budd as her husband was away at the war.
