A photo group with a bit of a difference
By Rowena Jay

The Alphington Photographic Group (TAPG) is a friendly, informal and non-competitive camera club.

We meet once a month except December to view our photographs. The members can either work on two subjects set each month or anything else they may choose to photograph.

We meet in our local school where we have use of computer equipment with internet access, an over-head projector and large screen.

We fully realise that not everyone likes their photographs pulled to pieces or judged so we discuss the good points of the pictures. However, the membership is always willing to answer any questions that are sometimes asked on how to improve a certain picture.

We also have discussions on a wide variety of photographic subjects or hire speakers.

During the Spring and Summer months we go out as a group for photographic sessions and finish the evening in a nearby pub for refreshments and more social chatter.
