West Exe Archiving Project
By Anthony Roach
My name is Anthony Roach and I have been volunteering at RAMM for a year and a half. During this time, I've had the opportunity to volunteer on several projects. The first being the Natural History Packing Project, which involved the handling, packing and movement of the Natural History collections, during the museum closure at the end of 2007.
Since then, I have continued to contribute to RAMM's Out and About series of events and activities, pursuing my interest in natural history and museum education.
Recently, I began work as an Archives Assistant at the Devon Record Office due to my passion for history and archaeology (I graduated with a BA in Archaeology from the University of Reading in July, 2003).
As I have supported the West Exe Project in the past, I was delighted to be asked to archive material from the Living Here website that has been added over the years. It will be a great opportunity to learn more about the West Exe Project meet new people and will complement my developing skills in archives.
